Who We Are

evan cohen — director/Editor

Evan is a Hudson Valley based, award-winning director and filmmaker with 10 years of experience, largely focused on documentary and commercial work. He is extraordinarily passionate about documentary filmmaking and loves to bring a mix of magical realism and grounded perspectives to audiences. After graduating from the School of Visual Arts with a bachelor's degree in cinematography, he went on to shoot several television and branded commercials, direct nationally broadcasted music videos, and worked with prominent brands to create branded content before moving into the documentary world. Evan currently works as a director and editor, working with a variety of production companies, agencies and brands.

He has had the pleasure of directing branded documentaries for Amnesty International, Lycra, BBC Storyworks, and more. Evan’s prerogative is to tell community centric stories in purpose driven documentary work that helps inform, educate and inspire audiences to deeper connectivity and action.

His recent short documentary on the Lenape Nation of Pennsylvania, "Keepers of the Way", premiered at several Oscar-qualifying film festivals, including AmDocs, St. Louis International, and Cleveland International Film Festival. The film also won several awards, including Best Storytelling in a Documentary at Rome International Film Festival in Rome, GA, and The Spirit of Jim Thorpe Award at the Jim Thorpe Independent Film Festival.
